This is my personal site, where I write about Technology, Life and basically anything that happens to interest me. My Name is Niranjan Kunwar, and am currently working as a Sr. Network Engineer at Internet Solutions Ltd. (Japanese) Systems Administrator at Covestor System Manager at ShipServ Security Engineer Vanco (Reliance Globalcom) Technical Operations Engineer at Mimecast Senior Network Security Engineer at Polycom. I was born in Nepal, where I completed my High School. Went to Russia for higher education, survived the Russian cold for 6 years, digested Ruskaya Vodka, had a lot of fun and most importantly brought few degrees home:

• Engineer Telecommunicatons (Equivalent to MSc)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Informatics and Computer Engineering
• Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language

Worked as a support engineer at Himalayan Computers in my home town Pokhara for one year. Came to HK in 1999, where I lived and worked for 8 years, until September 2007. Currently I’m living in UK with my lovely wife, wonderful son and adorable daughter.

Network, Security and Internet are my professional interest. I’ve obtained a few certifications/degree to prove it to myself and my employer:

• MSc in Information Technology (HK Polytechnic University)
• CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional)
• CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional Security)
• SFCP (Sourcefire Certified Professional)
• ACP (Aventail Certified Professional)

I love going out in the nature. Hiking, boating and swimming are my favorites, also love to watch movies, and listen to music. I used to play guitar, but not much these days.
