Buddha Boy briefly reappears
March 20th, 2006 by Niranjan Kunwar
Buddha Boy was spotted 3 KM away from the current meditation spot on Sunday morning according to the Om Namo Buddha Committee chairman Mr. Lama. A team of seven people from the committee came in contact with the Buddha Boy and he reportedly vanished after talking with them for half an hour. "He said he would reappear after six years. He has asked monks to perform prayers in the meditation spot," Lama claimed.
eKantipur.com and nepalnews.com are reporting the story
Bomjan reportedly told the team that he had reappeared to take leave of the committee, as he had left without informing them. "I left because there is no peace here," Lama quoted Bomjan as saying. "Tell my parents not to worry about me."
According to Lama, the team offered a khada to Bomjan and conversed with him. "He asked people not to worry about him and said that he is still in Nepal," Lama said.
"However, he said that no one could find him. He also said that he has camped in an undisclosed place where he reached after walking for five days and five nights," Lama further said.
Committee members screened a video, which they claimed was filmed during Bomjan’s brief reappearance and a Nepalese language blog Merosansar has uploaded the video of his brief reappearance but the quality is not so good. You can check this out.
Update: This BBC Story has the same VIDEO with a better quality (no sound)

Isn’t it fascinating that he claims that he will reappear in roughly six years (2012). Which is also the year that has been predicted by mathematicians, astrologists, religious leaders, ancient civilazations; each claiming that between the world will undergo world-wide enlightenment OR ultimate annihilation? I’m interisted to see what’s going to happen. Don’t discredit the possibility.
P.S: Just remember, its better to be an alive fool than a dead one.

Exactly! I’m also fascinated by his meditation and the claim that he’ll reappear after 6 years, which coincides with 2012 and all the predictions…

I watched with great interest a documentry on the Buddha Boy.
I being a devout buddhist await further news on the boy. I hope he has succeded in getting away from all the media and those around him that may be trying to use him for the wrong cause.
