Google blog was unavailable for a short time few days ago and this is what happened: We’ve determined the cause of tonight’s outage. The blog was mistakenly deleted by us (d’oh!) which allowed the blog address to be temporarily claimed by another user. This was not a hack, and nobody guessed our password. Our bad.

WordPress development team has released WordPress 2.0.2. It contains several security and bug fixes. They’ve addressed unannounced XSS issues privately discovered and reported to the WordPress team. If you are using WordPress 2.0.1 I highly recommend you to upgrade it. I’ll be upgrading mine ASAP.
