Year of the Pig
February 20th, 2007 by Niranjan Kunwar

The year of the pig has arrived and is considered lucky to bear children. As always Hong Kong is very very colorful, with new year decoration and greetings everywhere. There was a grand fireworks display yesterday at victoria harbor.

The lucky pigs were to seen everywhere in the city. Times Square alone had around hundred different small pig statues. Here are some images of colorful pigs I’ve captured. Enjoy…! I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of my readers a prosperous and happy Chinese New Year. If you’re planning for babies, this is a good year
. Chinese believe that children born in the year of the pig would be very fortunate, for they will be happy and honest.
