Security issues and Bugs in IE 7

I had done a half an hour test of IE 7 Beta and posted the screenshots (including the crash) in my previous post IE7 Beta Screenshots. Now the newsgroups, blogs and some security researchers are reporting bugs and security issues with IE 7.

ZDNet reports, IE 7 bugs abound

“People didn’t lose any time in finding bugs in the latest preview release of Internet Explorer 7.”

Security-Protocols have this advisory, Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta 2 urlmon.dll DoS

“So, I figured I would give it a quick look at and I just happened to find something within the first 15 minutes into testing. Weird huh?”

IE Blog have a post, Security issue in IE7?

“This bug had already been found during our code review and analysis that is a mandatory part of our development process; it was scheduled to be fixed before our next public release.”

We should understand that this is a beta release and not secure, so avoid using it for daily browsing.

IE8 is propably more secure than IE7 when it finally releases to the public.
